The online master’s degree in counselor education at The University of Toledo prepares you to work with clients dealing with life issues, such as substance abuse, mental and emotional disorders, family and marriage difficulties, and career challenges.  

The school counseling concentreation:

      • Prepares students for careers as school counselors in the public or parochial schools.
      • Provides the theoretical foundation and clinical training necessary for students to obtain licensure as: 
          • A professional counselor through the Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board.
          • A professional school counselor through the Ohio Department of Education. 

The counselor education program is nationally accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
