The online doctor of nursing practice (D.N.P.) degree at The University of Toledo is designed to take B.S.N. prepared nurses to the highest level of clinical practice. The program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

The D.N.P. curriculum includes theoretical and clinical courses to prepare students to lead and develop innovative healthcare delivery in a variety of healthcare settings.

As a D.N.P. student at The University of Toledo you will learn how to:

We offer two options to earn your B.S.N. to D.N.P.

      • The B.S.N. to D.N.P. nurse practitioner track is for the bachelor’s-prepared nurse who desires to complete the D.N.P. and become an advanced practice nurse. Nurse practitioner tracks include:
          • Family Nurse Practitioner
          • Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
      • The B.S.N. to D.N.P. nurse executive track is designed to take the bachelor’s-prepared nurse to the highest level of nursing leadership.

Research Opportunities

D.N.P. students must complete an evidenced-based practice project that addresses a contemporary healthcare need. They are mentored by UToledo College of Nursing faculty and community members.
